TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean and bright. Dark red color with truly garnet reflexes, with very good layer intensity. Very pleasing to the eye.

AROMA:

In the nose, its indisputable freshness stands out. It is presented with aromas that show some youth, and where they balance with evolving aromatic complexity. The notes of black and red fruit, floral and balsamic are expressed, where fresh mint and red roses take on the undisputed importance.

TASTE:

Entrance in the mouth where its freshness does not happen at all unnoticed. Perfectly harmonized with hypnotic accuracy and elegance, where black and spicy fruit memories are exhibited. It is a meaty and structured wine but with a slightly velvety step, ending being persistent and long.

MATCHING
Its complexity makes it ideal for marrying dishes of our cuisine. Ideal with red meats, Beef Stew, Roasts, and a myriad of options, while maintaining a certain gustatory potency.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The soils of the Valdepusa domain are formed by a superficial layer of clay with a thickness of 30 to 50 cm, which rests on a limestone subsoil, fragmented 2 or more meters deep, which was formed in the Cretaceous period. It is a type of basic soil (pH> 8), excellent structure, porosity and drainage, considered for centuries in Burgundy and other areas prestigious winemakers as ideal for the production of great wines. It is the central region of the Iberian Peninsula and within the stripe with the highest insolation in Europe (3000 hours / year). Its climate is continental, with marked contrasts between summers, dry and hot, and cold winters, but also between night and day in each season. The average temperature is 17 ° C, falling to 5 ° C in winter and rising to 26 ° C in summer. The rainfall reaches an average of about 450 mm. The vineyards are located around an average height of 490 meters above sea level. The vineyards of Dominio de Valdepusa have been pioneers in the implementation of cutting-edge technologies in their vineyards such as drip irrigation (1974) and in the implementation of state-of-the-art trellis and roots management systems. The result of the use of these advanced techniques in conjunction with scientifically proven concepts of biodynamics are perfectly ripe grapes with a maximum expression of terroir and an excellent balance between factors such as fruitiness and acidity.
