TASTING NOTE
Colour
Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections. Medium / high layer intensity. Very nice to see.
AROMA:
On the nose it presents with very good intensity and a characteristic depth. Good representation of red and black fruits computed on a bed of species such as vanilla, licorice and hints of toasted honey. Good complexity in the glass, thus demonstrating its more tertiary aromas as a result of its aging in French oak barrels.
TASTE:
Voluptuous entry into the mouth. A rich and creamy texture envelops your palate from start to finish. Elegance is contributed by this touch of fresh tannins and very well integrated, but still it presents a persistence and depth that could not be otherwise. Memorable.
MATCHING
Game dishes, such as wild boar, chicken roasts, pork tenderloin, barbecues, cannelloni of meat and / or mushrooms, grilled mushrooms, sausages, cheese ... There are countless possibilities to accompany this great wine.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The history of the winery is contemplated by 3 generations, Emilio Moro was born in the winemaking environment that surrounded him, treading grapes and racking wine in his native town, Pesquera de Duero, province of Valladolid. While still a teenager (14 years old), Emilio Moro sold together with his father, more than 100 pitchers of wine in the area. They were times when the saw was made entirely by hand. Later, Don Emilio, initiated by his father in the winemaking processes, planted the rest of his vineyard lands and grafted with centennial country ink belonging to payments already disappeared, such as that of "the slit" that still remains immortalized in the photograph. who presides over the entrance of the winery, in this photo from the forties, you can see Emilio Moro at about six years old, together with his father, challenged by the sun, harvesting. One of the advantages of Emilio Moro's vineyards is that some of them belonged to his father and have the purest clone of the indigenous Tinto Fino or Tempranillo grape, with this clone the rest of the vineyards that have been acquired have been grafted over time. Another advantage is the location and the variety of types of soil: Pesquera is known for being a town with a winemaking tradition where, due to the combination of clay, limestone and gravel soils, excellent quality wines are obtained. Currently the winery has 200 Ha of its own vineyard at 100% Tinta Fina or Tempranillo grafted with its own clone. The heterogeneity of the soils, as well as the solar exposure plans, give each payment more differentiating characteristics, both in maturation and in the organoleptic characteristics that they confer on wines.
Great future ahead.
