INFORMATION OF INTEREST Magran
Colour: Clean, clear and bright. Ruby red color with garnet reflections, has a medium layer intensity and dense and slow tears. Very nice to look at.
Aroma: The nose offers intense, fresh and attractive aromas. It shows good complexity in glass, as it slowly and timidly opens to dedicate spicy and toasty notes, where an imposing ripe red fruit reigns above all, sharing space with intense mineral memories.
Taste: Mouth wide and with a very pronounced freshness. The tannins are round, silky and textured, where they give us a long and persistent finish.
With the second vintage of this Magran Partida Les Manyetes red wine, Meritxell Pallejà is no longer a promise from Priorat to be a prop among the winemakers of this DO.
It is made from a Grenache planted in 2008 in the small Les Manyetes farm, a farm that he personally cares for, doing all the chores by hand and using a very hard slate floor.
The harvest is done by hand. The destemmed and crushed grapes go to stainless steel tanks where the first fermentation takes place spontaneously, with its own yeasts and two daily pigeages. Following the guidelines of biodynamic agriculture, this alcoholic fermentation lasts as long as a moon lasts. After a gentle pressing, the Magran Partida Les Manyetes 2015 wine rests for 13 months in new and used French oak barrels. To finish rounding it, it rests for 3 months in the bottle before going on the market.
The name Magran is a tribute to the family house known as Cal Magran, the name by which the family was known in memory of an ancestor who was very lucky in a game and won a "great", a very good and great one. hand.
The Magran de Meritxell Pallejà is slow to open, so decant it at least 20 minutes before serving.
Only about 1,000 bottles of this limited production wine have been bottled, which we can taste until 2028, if we keep it in good condition.
