Garnet colour. Medium/high layer.
Intense in nose, with greedy character, voluminous but with a global fresh sensation in which highlight the red fruit, some spicy notes (black peeper) and smoked sensations (but not from the cask aging).
In mouth is powerful (good attack), quickly range, tannins remains alive. Perfect level of acidity, it combines sensations of maturity and some greedy touches, with a frank end, simple but expressive. Long end.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
