INFORMATION OF INTEREST Gaja Sori San Lorenzo 2013

TASTING NOTE

Colour: Bright color, dense layer and ruby reflections

Aroma: The best known and the one with the greatest aging potential of the three plots. The Sorì San Lorenzo 2013 shows a typical nose where the notes of licorice, black tea, balsamic herbs, graphite and violet slowly reveal themselves in the glass, giving rise to a complex nose with many layers.

Taste: Much juice in the mouth, especially dark black fruit like cranberry. The tannins are dense and powerful, lingering finish.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Gaja was among the first producers who, forty years ago, began bottling and labeling separately the different farms. Just 15 years ago, his Barolo went on the market as Sperss®, that is, as a wine estate. Critics with more international influence, such as Robert Parker, Alessandro Masnaghetti, Michele Bettane, Joël Payne and Armin Diel, always give the highest value to the GAJA parcel wines. Even so a Barbaresco or a Barolo without farm identification need not be less appreciated by wine lovers and connoisseurs than a farm wine - in the words of Angelo Gaja -.
