Intense and complex to the nose. Aromas of spices and new wood (toasty, leather, vanilla and balsam) against a mild alcoholic background.
Well-finished. Powerful, enveloping tannic notes in the mouth that develop into an elegant meatiness and just the right acidity to match any dish.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
