Visually, it has a dark garnet colour with cherry glints.
It is elegant on the nose, as a result of the best grapes and the finest French oak toasting. Ripe fruity aromas with spices and balsamic aromas coming trough.
Full bodied and well balanced with soft tannins on the palate leading to toasty notes on the persistent finish.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
