Clos Fourtet wines, Premier Grand Cru Classé, embody the best of Saint-Émilion. Soft, intriguing and seductive, its pure natural aromas are delicately intertwined in a delightful display of our terroir's unmatched potential. Our wines mark the culmination of all our efforts, being discovered as time goes by: alive, developing and maturing.
Clos Fourtet leaves nature to express itself, striving to keep its purity intact. We harvest carefully by hand, bringing the grapes in small baskets to preserve their integrity. Then we carry out the minimum and smoothest extraction necessary to reveal the identity of our terroir. Every year, the aging of the wine is different: we adapt the quantity of new oak barrels that we use to reflect the structural potential of each vintage. Throughout this long process, we limit the handling of the wine and protect the fruit from oxidation.
