On the nose, it requires patience in favor. The first contact should not be expected a very intense and complex aromatic range, as it is obviously a closed sample and with the feeling of having certain relatively evolved aromas. It is necessary to emphasize, and here we return to give the importance of the patience that the minutes in glass is opening offering to us timidly and little by little a catalog of very interesting tertiary aromas. There are notes of toasted wood, honey, spicy notes, and mineral notes of moist stone with light hints of sweet (vanilla).
Enormously savory but amazing mouthfeel. The tannins are very neutral and light with an alcohol boost that makes it have a lively and warmth in the mouth. Finishing like this, with an end of great persistence.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
