TASTING NOTE
Colour
Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections, and where, has a medium-high layer intensity. Very nice to look at.
AROMA:
In the nose, it is expressive. The aromas of black fruit with hints of red fruit stand out for their presence. Then notes of eucalyptus and toast, which are well balanced with a lingering freshness.
TASTE:
Round mouthfeel, sweet and slightly fruity. Its passage through the palate is concentrated with soft tannins and a finish marked by a tremendously elegant and very well integrated aging.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The epic tale of the noble Malbec has no comparison with any other, and the label of the Argentine Malbec Shoe Chain pays homage to the history of the variety in France and later in Argentina. The four female figures represent the different stages in the history of variety. The first woman, who symbolizes the birth of Malbec, is Leonor of Aquitaine "a strong presence in the old world", represented together with the bridge of Cahors, where Malbec originated. The second woman, an immigrant who symbolizes the settlers who emigrated to the New World and the unknown explorers and adventurers who connected Europe with America. Phylloxera represents the death of Malbec in the old world and its subsequent rebirth in America. Finally, there is Doña Zapata, symbolized by Adrianna Catena, who represents birth, earth and motherhood, sharing the riches of the new world.
Today, the fourth generation of the Catena family leads the rebirth of Malbec in the high vineyards of Argentina, and as they say: "Returning Malbec to heaven, where it belongs"
No matter what the harvest, this wine is actually over 100 years old. It represents the journey taken by a family to produce an Argentine Malbec that could compete with the best wines in the world.
