INFORMATION OF INTEREST Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard Fortuna Terrae 2016

Colour: Clean, clear and bright. Garnet color with violet reflections. It has a medium / high layer intensity. Very pleasing to the eye.

Aroma: On the nose, a wine of a spectacular balance is perceived. The floral touches reign with the black fruit and more subtly the red fruit, where they stand out with all the finesse to offer us the aromas of blackberries, cherries, raspberries and punchy currants. Complexity in the glass, when after a few seconds with the glass stopped, but airy, the balsamic touches appear that are perfectly paired with the indisputable smoky and spicy aromas, where the pepper and cloves are the protagonists. Minerality followed by elegance at its best.

Taste: Entry into the mouth tremendously fresh and with a slight crisp touch. This fruit load appears to us that seduces us again in the mouth, and where, with a density and unctuousness that is only found for great wines, it is balanced with a freshness and perfectly integrated tannins. Long, fresh and wonderfully persistent.

Once you see the organoleptic characteristics of the Fortuna Terrae, you will have many possibilities to marry, but for example you could add the most: Magret d'ànec with sauce of fruits vermells, filet de vedella grilled with virutes de foie, carns vermelles a la Charcoal with chimichurri sauce, rostits, cannelloni de bolets with foie sauce and one more window of possibilities that sens dubte will not disappoint.

The mission of the Catena Zapata family is to produce wines of great depth, impossible to forget; wines that reflect the unique character of each plant in particular, within the historical vineyards of the Catena family. Nicolás and Laura Catena have challenged the limits for the cultivation of the vine, planting the "Adrianna" Vineyard, at the foot of the Andes, at an altitude of almost 1,500 meters - that is, they have been pioneers in this challenge, identifying the best microclimates , to then select the highest quality Malbec vines.
His vision has been to discover these magical places within each of the vineyards of the Catena family, which offer the best expression of the terroir. The cultivation and manual care of these lots has allowed us to identify those plants that consistently produce the best fruit. These plants are marked in the vineyard with a red ribbon, which indicates the special care that should be given to them. Harvested separately, at different times, these "Zapata" plants make up the origin of the Catena Zapata wines.
