High aromatic intensity and great complexity, with notes of coffee, balsamic,black fruits and aromatic herbs. It also contains the minerality from their stony grounds.
Pleasant in palate, voluminous, good structure and pronounced freshness. The aftertaste is persitent and invites to drink again.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
