TASTING NOTE
Colour

Cherry red in colour, with very vivid reddish and maroon reflections.

AROMA:

Aromas of dried fruit dominate, with blackberries and cassis standing out against a background of jam, cocoa and mineral nuances. As the wine evolves, balsamic notes appear, giving freshness to the whole.

TASTE:

On the palate it is a powerful wine, where the great volume gives elegance to the ripe tannins. Records of black fruit, freshness on a background of toasted notes from the barrel. On the palate it is long where notes of jam, tobacco leaf and cocoa persist.

WHO CAN CONTRACT
3 Nits d’Urpina is a wine selected by Moacin Wines and produced by Urpina. Urpina is a project by Ampans, a foundation that works for the social and labour inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and in vulnerable situations. The estate is the result of a donation during the lifetime of the Vila Isern family who, with two children with intellectual disabilities, gave it to Ampans so that it could be used to generate opportunities for people and the entity could take care of their children when they could no longer do so. Recovering the vineyards that had survived the weight of history and cultivating new hectares of vines of native varieties, meant the beginning of the Urpina agro-social project, which today is also a home for 25 people with intellectual disabilities, a cheese factory and a goat farm.

The vineyards are located in Sant Salvador de Guardiola (Bages) and the Ampans Foundation provides opportunities for labour insertion and social recognition. For its production, a controlled fermentation is carried out at 26ºC with selected yeast. Maceration for 10 days using pigéage and small daily pumping overs. Subsequent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel with oxygen. Aged for 12 months in 70% French, 20% American and 10% Central European oak barrels. Subsequently rested in bottle for a further 12 months.
