Colour

Nice bright red colour with a ruby rim.

AROMA:

Intense and aromatic, sensations of red fruits, spicy mineral, balsamic, upper-middle power. Complex and enveloping in the olfactory phase.

TASTE:

Tasty, structured palate with notable acidity that gives freshness, good and polished tannin. Hints of liquorice, sandalwood and cocoa.

MATCHING
Wine wildcard. Ideal with cheeses, cold meats and traditional Catalan typical Iberian sausages and Serrano ham. Good with grilled vegetables and also the grilled red meat.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
