TASTING NOTE
Colour: Clean and bright. Cherry color with slightly violet reflections. Medium layer intensity. Very nice at sight.
Aroma: Nose inlet with a lot of complexity and intensity. They emphasize their aromas of ripe fruit, where cherries with liquor and candied fruit predominate. With very subtle and agreeable species behind.
Taste: In the mouth wide and very warm entry, it is very tender and very tasty. Spices and toasts that together make a very good balance, with very ripe tannins and a really charming persistence.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Celler Bàrbara Forés is a family winery located in the center of Gandesa that dates back to 1898, when Mr. Rafael Ferrer Forés, great-grandfather of the current owner and the son of Mrs. Bárbara Forés who inspires the name and character, entrusts the construction of the house-winery to the Tarragona architect Ramon Salas Ricomà.
In 1994, an important renovation of the building was carried out in order to adapt the winery to the current production requirements and it was a great qualitative leap respecting the tradition in the elaboration of the wines.
This wine is a blend of the Garnatxa Negra grape varieties (55%), Syrah (24%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (21%) from vineyards planted on frankly textured soils located at an altitude between 350 and 600 meters above sea level. sea level.
After harvesting manually, the wine fermented for 17-22 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 22-26ºC. The subsequent macerations were 30 days. In terms of aging, Coma d'En Pou Bàrbara Forés remained for 15 months in Allier French oak barrels.
