ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Quintanilla is a new Artadi red linked to its range of parcel wines. It was born in a vineyard planted more than 60 years ago in the same place where there was an old medieval town whose remains can still be seen.
Vineyard located in Elvillar de Álava, 585 m above sea level, planted in 1951. Set on medium-calcareous clay-calcareous soils with the presence of hard lime and sandstone bedrock at about 70-75 cm. Surface: 1.13 Ha. Maximum respect for the environment, absence of pesticides and herbicides. Organic viticulture.
Vinification in open tanks with cold maceration for 24-48 hours and fermentation for 10-12 days with a daily treading and a little pumping over. Malolactic in oak. Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
