INFORMATION OF INTEREST Arínzano la Casona Magnum 2008

TASTING NOTE

Colour: Clean, clear and bright. Garnet color with ruby reflections. Medium layer intensity. Very nice to look at.

Aroma: Nose entry where the primary and tertiary aromas dance in a perfect symbiosis, in one word can be defined: complexity. Black fruit (blackberries and blueberries), aromas of a perfectly integrated wood, notes of tobacco leaf, cocoa and ending with the sweet spices of cinnamon and vanilla.

Taste: With the same complexity that presented itself in the nose. Elegant, velvety mouthfeel with silky and palpable tannins lead to an end of a very marked breadth and persistence.

MATCHING

Grilled lamb chops, baked kid, cochineal, coca with escalivada and anchovies, semi-cured Manchego cheese, Iberian ham, etc.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The denomination of "Vino de Pago" is the highest category that can obtain a wine in Spain, superior to the Denomination of Qualified Origin. After years of exhaustive demonstration of the unique qualities of its climate, geology and vineyards, Arínzano is the first property in northern Spain to have received this recognition.

Located in the northeast of Spain, between La Rioja and Bordeaux, the Arínzano Property occupies a valley formed by the last foothills of the Pyrenees, divided by the river Ega. Its exclusive microclimates create a unique environment for the cultivation of the vineyard. Of the 355 hectares of the property, 128 are dedicated to the cultivation of paid wines. The climate has a significant Atlantic influence, with high variation between day-night temperatures in summer, while the Ega River moderates temperatures. The vineyards of Arínzano are located in an area of complex geology, showing each plot differentiating characteristics.
