The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.

Excelente vino. Todos los de Sandeman están buenos, o quizás a mi me lo parecen porque los relaciono con cariño a los años que mi abuelo dedicó trabajando en esa bodega. Por eso les guardo tanto cariño. Ha sido un regalo para mi madre. Este vino junto a un Armada han viajado hasta Jerez, han llegado las dos botellas en perfecto estado, así como la nota de felicitación.
