WHO CAN CONTRACT
In creating 1703 Old Cask Selection, Master Blender Allen Smith selected the finest single and double distilled rums from Mount Gay’s oldest reserves. 1703 is a discerning blend comprised of the rare and noteworthy barrels that Allen has carefully monitored over the years. Forty four blends were necessary to reach the subtle, perfectly balanced and harmonious final blend. AROMAS: Refined harmony of oaky and caramel notes. TASTE: A balance of caramel, spice and toast. BODY: Exceptional roundness with a delicate finish. To fully appreciate the bouquet of complex notes it is best to enjoy 1703 neat. If you prefer rum on the rocks, we recommend slower-melting, spherical ice made of purified water. This prevents dilution and preserves the subtler notes of the rum.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
