Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Yellow with golden highlights. Very nice to see.

AROMA:

Nose with very intense aromas, where the fruit of pine, white and tropical fruit. The mango, apricot, pear and peach dance together with pronounced mineral, floral and small notes of an elegant and refined aroma of toasted wood.

TASTE:

A white with character and personality. It runs through the palate with opulence and intensity, where layers of minerality and fruit are interposed with a well-balanced finish. Long, persistent and fresh finish.

Ideal to accompany with all kinds of seafood (crayfish, prawns, clams, razors, etc.), dishes where the protagonist is the mushroom, white meats and poultry.

The first named owners of the Löwengang Estate were documented in 1369, the Gaun family. Back in 1674, Emperor Leopold I knighted the Gaun family, bestowing upon them the title of “von und zu Löwengang.” After changing hands several times, the estate was purchased by, Alois III in 1934. In the vineyards around Magrè he was able to find new international grape varieties, such as Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Cabernet and Merlot, which were not so commonplace in Alto Adige at the time. Alois IV decided to finally leave the city of Bolzano and began building a new winery around the historic Löwengang Estate in the 1990s.
