It shows a brilliant and limpid raspberry colour.
Intense on the nose, it exhibits a wide-range of red fruits aromas: redcurrant, cherries... and also to perfumed violets and rose petals with a touch of fennel and strawberry candies.
On the palate, it is limpid, fruity and fresh with a balanced acidity, structure and long finish.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
