TASTING NOTE
Colour

Cherry red, with garnet rim. Layer very high and clear.

AROMA:

Complex, deep and evocative aromas of black fruits, very interesting sense of sweet spices and herbs. With power high aromas.

TASTE:

Large, sweet, enveloping, great balanced with good acidity. Finely grained tannins and an excellent final strength, very persistent. A wine with a long life ahead.

MATCHING
Ideal wine to drink with red meats, game meats, and generally taste dishes of a higher power, like some stews.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
It’s the international reference when talking about Spanish wine, so this is the most historic house in international wine auctions.
The Alvarez family bought the winery in 1982, founded since 1864, giving a contribution and a much more open and modern character at the warehouse, expanding its range with some news and younger wines, like Bodegas Alion, from Ribera del Duero and the Bodegas Pintia in Toro. They also acquired the winery Oremus Tokaji in Hungary.
Under the guidance of the winemakers Begoña Jovellar and Xavier Ausàs, has become the biggest name of the above holds.

Wines reds designation of origin D.O. Ribera del Duero
Ribera del Duero is one of the most important wine-growing regions in Spain, is located in Castilla y León and embraces a part of the Duero basin. Limited in the east by the town of San Esteban de Gormaz and in the west by Quintanilla de Onessimo, Ribera del Duero has a surface of 21000 hectares and an annual production of barely 56 million of liters.
