Colour

Clean, limpid and bright. Cherry red color with garnet reflections.

AROMA:

A complex entry on the nose, with a ripe fragrance of black fruit that balances out (over time) with the more balsamic and undergrowth notes, where we also find hints of cocoa.

TASTE:

On the palate, its intensity and power blend with a fine and delicate texture. Silky, balanced and delicate tannins accompany us to a long and fresh finish.

Great gastronomic versatility, but ideal with meat rice dishes, poultry, white meats with sauce, red meats and cold cuts.

Olivardots is a benchmark winery of the D.O. Empordà working with a precision viticulture philosophy, highlighting the specificities of its soils. The Vd'O series - Vins d'Olivardots - was created to express the diversity of the estate's terroirs, and number 2 corresponds to the sandy plots. This wine is made from the finest grapes of old vines from the 'Hort d'en Riera' estate, planted in 1909 on sandy soils, located in the municipality of Capmany (Alt Empordà), at around 90 metres above sea level with a north-east orientation. Organic viticulture following biodynamic principles is practised here, with rigorous manual work in the vineyard. The wine ages for 16 months in French oak barrels with lees stirring, resulting in a Carignan of silky texture, characteristic minerality and singular freshness.
