TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections, and where it has a medium layer intensity.

AROMA:

First contact in glass where Grenache is expressed with all its essence. Aromas of red fruits (raspberries and wild strawberries), ripe black fruit (blackberries and currants) and small balsamic touches of licorice. In the minutes in the glass, the complexity of the wine takes over the glass, offering us the most representative notes of the Priorat, where the minerality followed by slightly spicy touches closes the aromatic range.

TASTE:

Inlet in the mouth where its graduation (characteristic of the variety) is imperceptible. It is presented with a memorable freshness and elegance, and where the tannins, in their passage through the mouth, manage to melt with a memorable neatness.

WHO CAN CONTRACT
During the decade of the 90s, the wine revolution began in Priorat. My maternal family had been involved in viticulture in the region for many generations, but the art of making wine was lost and the grapes were sold to the local cooperative. To take advantage of the potential of the family's vineyards, in 1999 we decided to transform the basement of the historic house of Porrera (today Can Ros) into a winery: where before there had been animals and small chambers to store wine, we built a cellar and a room aging with capacity for 25,000 bottles.

Thus, I, Gerard Batllevell Simó, current owner, together with the support of my father, the advice of Uncle José, former producer and dealer of wines in Porrera and great connoisseur of the area, Josep Àngel Mestres, the winemaker, and my Friend and great passionate about the world of wine, Toni Pena, we started this project and made the wine of our first vintage in 1999, which was an experiment to see what could be achieved from the work of the old vineyards. The result was an immediate success and after receiving good ratings in magazines such as Wine Spectator, the wine we make, Les Eres, was quickly exported to the Swiss and US markets. Since then we have been working with effort and dedication, and Les Eres, currently, has a solid reputation, both in homes and in the world wine markets.

Our philosophy is simple: perseverance, passion and quality. The three wines are made with one objective: to achieve local wines that reflect their origin and have their personality. The characteristics of our winery, that is, the small dimensions that it has, condition us positively since they allow us to pay attention to all the details of the wine-making process. Personally, I am involved in each phase of the product development process: from pruning and treatment of the vineyard, through harvest, production, aging, bottling, labeling and even sale.
