Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Ruby red color with slightly tiled reflection. Medium layer intensity. Very nice to see.

AROMA:

On the nose, it is complexity and elegance, where it is a sign of its signature and more deeply rooted authenticity. Intensity in aromas with a marked evolution; computer cherry and raisins are expressed on a bed of spicy notes of tobacco, vanilla touches and dark chocolate shavings.

TASTE:

Entry into the mouth in the same way that it was presented in the nose; elegance and complexity with an optimum point of maturity. It stands out for its structure with a very lively yet well-balanced acidity. Silky tannins and even give a long, complex and round finish.

They will go hand in hand and will be a perfect companion for delicate dishes with mild sauces, expensive stews with aromatic herbs, and perfect for desserts where chocolate is undoubtedly the protagonist.

Service temperature 17º

After sprouting on regular dates, moderate and well-distributed rains in spring favored a correct vegetative development that lasted until fruit set, helping to balance production. The September temperatures, moderate during the day and cool at night, allowed the grapes to obtain the typical characteristics of this area of ​​Rioja. During this 2005, we implemented important improvements in the harvesting system, such as the collection in 350-kg boxes and its refrigerated transport to the winery, allowing a significant qualitative leap in the production process, evident in all wines but, especially, in the Great Reserves.

The selected clusters were harvested manually in boxes that were transported to the winery in refrigerated transport. After the soft destemming and crushing, the wines made slow
fermentations. Once completed, the best batches went to barrels where they were aged for 6 years with 10 traditional racking, during which we made new selections, passing only 199 barrels to the final blend that were bottled in March 2012 in 57,036 bottles of ¾ and 1,312 Magnums. In order to preserve the aromatic components as much as possible, this wine has not been filtered.
