TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean and bright. Cherry violet color with a medium layer intensity.

AROMA:

The nose highlights the mineral, lactic and black fruit aromas, where blackberries, cherries, blueberries and currants are the protagonists. These notes are accompanied by spicy touches of black pepper and cloves. The aroma of vanilla and toast can be seen in the back of the mouth.

TASTE:

On the palate with a creamy and elegant step, well structured but with very soft and fine tannins, and where the acidity is perfectly integrated. Long and persistent finish.

MATCHING
Ideal to accompany all kinds of meat from a beef tail to a lamb cooked at low temperature. It goes very well with pasta, also with broth rice, grilled artichokes and Catalan beans.

The optimum service temperature is between 15º and 17º.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Where the Pyrenees already see the Mediterranean, within the natural setting of Les Alberes, we find its characteristic soils, slate and acid, where we get very limited production, in order to achieve high quality wines and personality.

Harvest at the optimum ripening point looking for a great aromatic and structural load. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tank with periodic rises. Malolactic fermentation of 75% of the wine in egg-shaped amphorae and the rest in new medium-toasted French oak barrels. Subsequent aging with lees with periodic battonage for six months, followed by aging without battonage for another six months. Finally, the blend is grouped in a stainless steel tank where it is lightly clarified, stabilized and filtered.

Wines reds designation of origin D.O. Empordà
The appellation of Origin Empordà is located on the northern-east of Catalonia. The territory is distributed in two regions and 55 villages. 35 belong to Alt Empordà and the remaining 20 belong to Baix Empodrà. The average annual production reaches the 65000 hectoliters of wine with a planted surface of around 2000 hectares. From its beginnings the denomination was called Empordà-Costa Brava, but in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was deleted.
