TASTING NOTE
Colour

In the glass, it presents a clean and cherry violet color with medium-high intensity.

AROMA:

On the nouse, it offers aromas of black fruits like blackberries, cherries, blueberries, and black currants, accompanied by mineral, lactic and spicy notes of black pepper, cloves and white pepper.

TASTE:

On the palate, it's elegant and creamy, well-structured with very soft and fine tannins, and a well-integrated acidity. The finish is long and pleasant.

MATCHING
Camins de l'Albera pairs excellenty with a vareity of meats, from oxtail to slow-cooked lamb. It also complements pasta dishes, brothy rice, grilled artichokes, and Catalan-style beans.

The optimum service temperature is between 15º and 17º.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
This wine was awared a Gold Medal at the "Garnaches du Monde 2022" contest in France.
This elegant red wine is made from 100% Garnacha Negra grapes, grown in the Finca Furot vineyard in Vilamaniscle, located in the Empordà region of Catalonia. The vineyard sits at approximately 200 meters above sea level, with slate soils and a north-west orientation, benefiting from the Tramuntana wind that contributes to the grapes' freshness and complexity.


Harvest at the optimum ripening point looking for a great aromatic and structural load. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tank with periodic rises. Malolactic fermentation of 75% of the wine in egg-shaped amphorae and the rest in new medium-toasted French oak barrels. Subsequent aging with lees with periodic battonage for six months, followed by aging without battonage for another six months. Finally, the blend is grouped in a stainless steel tank where it is lightly clarified, stabilized and filtered.

Wines reds designation of origin D.O. Empordà
The appellation of Origin Empordà is located on the northern-east of Catalonia. The territory is distributed in two regions and 55 villages. 35 belong to Alt Empordà and the remaining 20 belong to Baix Empodrà. The average annual production reaches the 65000 hectoliters of wine with a planted surface of around 2000 hectares. From its beginnings the denomination was called Empordà-Costa Brava, but in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was deleted.
