Colour

Clean and bright. Dark garnet color with cherry reflections, with good layer intensity. Very pleasing to the eye.

AROMA:

In the nose, it presents complex and with intense aromas of fruit, where forest blackberries stand out, accompanied by exuberant cherries that are wonderfully harmonized by a subtle and elegant minerality.

TASTE:

Entry into the mouth where it is expressed with amplitude and with an outstanding personality. It is silky, but at the same time with a large structure, in which it stands out due to its delicacy and its persistent and balanced end.

Ideal with all kinds of Mediterranean dishes such as pasta, risotto, and a variety of tapas.

Marqués de Griñon Caliza is a red wine made by the Marqués de Griñón winery in the D.O. Dominio de Valdepusa, a payment owned by the winery that in 2002 became the first Spanish payment with its own Denomination of Origin.

The winery is located in the town of Malpica de Tajo (Toledo).

Marqués de Griñon Caliza is made from Syrah and Petit Verdot varieties. The grapes come from vineyards between 15 and 20 years old planted on clay soils with subsoils of pure limestone, hence its name.

The elaboration of Marqués de Griñon Caliza begins with a manual harvest and a destemming in the cellar. With the grapes prepared, a traditional alcoholic fermentation and a very long maceration of 1 month is carried out.

Later the wine is aged in French Allier oak barrels for 10 months in a heated aging room.

During bottling, the wine is neither clarified nor filtered.
