Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Garnet color with ruby reflections, where it has an intensity of medium - low layer. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

On the nose, it is authenticity in its highest state. Aromas of red fruit, where the currant emerges with small flashes of cherry, and which fuse with absolute perfection with the main protagonists, which are the spices and balsamic along with the mineral notes of moist stone.

TASTE:

Mouth with a very lively and marked acidity. Wine of extraordinary complexity, where its vibrant tannins and freshness make it a wine to taste with all the senses. Long, fresh and persistent finish.

Decantation is recommended.

Despite its proximity to the sea, the vineyards are located at 400-800 meters of altitude, in the pre-coastal mountains of Catalonia. The vines penetrate into Mediterranean pine forests and coexist in a wild environment with aromatic undergrowths, where species such as wild boar, hare and Bonelli's eagle live.

The jewel in the crown of MontRubí is its Gaintus Project, a recovery plan for the Sumoll variety that began in 2000.

Sumoll is a grape that is historically indigenous to the area, delicate and difficult to cultivate, conditions that together with the phylloxera plague of the vine in the late 19th century made it displaced by other foreign varieties.

This recovery work gave the winery recognition as the first winery in the world to make 100% Sumoll wines, currently being the largest producers in Sumoll, making this magnificent grape known in more than 15 countries.
