The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.

Delicious and sweet with a nice hit of caramel. Ideal as a shot after dinner or try mixing with whisky for a twist on a Rusty Nail. That mix works really well. I've tried it on a few friends and they all love it.
