WHO CAN CONTRACT
Bodegas Vinícola Real S.L. It was founded in 1989 by Miguel Ángel Rodríguez in Albelda de Iregua, a town with a remarkable history, whose roots go well beyond the medieval era. Vinícola Real was built near the Chapel of Santa Catalina, the only part that remains of the Monastery of San Martín de Albelda founded in 924 AD, the Monastery was destroyed due to the detachment of the Salagona rock in 1683. Vinícola Real was born with the vocation of being a small production winery specialized in high quality wines and "premium wines". The idea is to produce «great wines» of unique terroir, with a differentiated way of elaboration and aging and with a marked personality (new style of La Rioja).

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
