Colour

It has an intense yellow color, clean and bright.

AROMA:

Subtle white fruit on the nose with delicate minerality mixed with citrus aromas. The toasted touches, the result of its light barrel aging, appear at just the right moment to offer a clear and authentic definition of Burgundy Chardonnays.

TASTE:

On the palate, it is elegant and silky, full of an energy that appears through a vibrant acidity and mineral harmony that act as the backbone of the wine. It is a perfect wine for hedonists who enjoy Meursault Chardonnay.

MATCHING
We will find the perfect pairing with white meats, such as chicken and turkey, mainly stewed and baked.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Guy Roulot is one of the legendary producers of Meursaults of the highest quality. He started winemaking when he married Geneviève Coche. Thus, Domaine Roulot becomes a master of the "lieu-dit", he also owns 5 "premier crus" which he cultivates in Meursault and Monthelie. In 1982 Guy Roulot died suddenly and the winemaking project was left in the hands of his son Jean-Marc, who took over the management of the winery in 1989. Since then, Domaine Roulot has been gaining an undoubted reputation. The wines have their own style. It is a pioneer in the production of plot wines. The viticulture is organic. They are also committed to making wines that express a certain depth and sumptuousness thanks to the "terroir" itself, they are elegant and brilliant wines. This precision in winemaking leads them to be wines for cellaring, with a long aging in bottle. The acidity with which they work makes the wines pair perfectly with many types of dishes. Regarding vinification, they age all the Chardonnay they make, both in stainless steel tanks and in oak barrels, of which between 15 and 18% are new. They also work the aging on lees and every 3-4 weeks they do "batônnage" until the moment of malolactic fermentation. The aging in barrels on lees is usually 11 months, after which the wine is racked to stainless steel tanks for a further 7 months. Clos des Bouchères saw its first vintage in 2011.

At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
