TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Straw gold color with golden reflections. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

On the nose it is a good representation of the variety. First contact in the glass where the floral notes are expressed together with the ripe fruit (peach, apricot) and small subtle brushstrokes of the exotic and tropical fruit.

TASTE:

Mouth where the acidity rises from the first moment. Slightly unctuous on the palate due to the stay with its lees. A wine with character, mature and full-bodied, but carried with a fantastic balance. Long and persistent finish.

WHO CAN CONTRACT
Pago de los Capellanes is located one kilometer from Pedrosa de Duero, a town that in the 14th century housed a parish where chaplains offered masses in exchange for small parcels of land. Over time, the micro plots accumulated, gathering an extensive payment that the confiscation of Mendizábal (1855) returned to the town. The inhabitants of Pedrosa continue to call these lands the Pago de los Capellanes. O Luar do Sil Godello Fermented in Barrel is the second white made by Pago de los Capellanes in the D.O. Valdeorras after his O Luar do Sil on lees. With a variety of nuances characteristic of the Godello variety and the special elaboration carried out, in which a fermentation for 20 days in French barrels and a smooth batonage of the lees together with the wine over 6 months stands out.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
