It has an intense golden yellow color, with green hues.
The nose shows exotic and yellow-fleshed fruits such as pineapple, apricot and peach, floral hints such as acacia, as well as notes of fennel. Its aromas are intense and powerful.
In the mouth, it is very fresh and tasty. It has an easy mouthfeel that is round, balsamic and fruity, with a great bitter finish. It is a long wine very well constituted and with a long life, therefore, with an excellent persistence.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
