TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Yellow color with golden reflections. Very pleasing to the eye.

AROMA:

Entry into the nose where the clear aromas of white fruit are perceived, immediately afterwards, and with the corresponding minutes in the glass, the most full notes of the fruit appear, touches of banana and peach are linked with the most tropical aromas, where the mango manages to take over. Slightly spaced touches of very well integrated wood, where you perceive its subtlety and well-developed elegance.

TASTE:

In the mouth, complexity and delicacy. A rather lively creaminess that manages to filter through the notes of sweet species that appear on the nose. Good balance, long and persistent.

MATCHING
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Comtes Lafon is one of the Domaines that produces the finest, most elegant and stately wines in Meursault. International criticism places it among the best white wine makers in the world. Dominique Lafon's knowledge and surprising talent, together with an excellent grape, have taken the winery to the top. In 1978 Dominique studied viticulture and enology at Beaune. He started his projects in 1980 and in the following four harvests he made his first wines. Later, in 1984, he formed a partnership with his brother Bruno, replacing his father at the head of the domaine and, little by little, his wines became prestigious. The infallible search for the best and greatest extraction of qualities from the grape in the vineyard and appropriate vinifications studied to obtain all that has been achieved from the vine has positioned them as a benchmark. Domaine Comtes Lafon has 16.3 ha of extraordinary quality. In Meursault Villages they have 4 ha, in Volnay Santenots and Monthelie Premier Cru more than 3 ha and another 0.33 ha in the world-renowned Montrachet Grand Cru. The cultivation of the vineyard is carried out without applying any type of chemical product, only organic matter to provide nutrients to the plant. It only uses the minimum doses of sulfur to guarantee the healthiness of the wine. This change of philosophy in the vineyard was not carried out abruptly to avoid that the vines and their quality-performance ratio were affected. The pruning system used is the simple guyot and, in the case of old vines, the cordon royat. They replanted the vineyards with clones of mass selections of old vines, both in chardonnay and pinot noir. The oak used in the fermentation of white wines and the aging of reds is French from Allier and dels Vosgues. For the Meursault Villages, wine barrels are used. The rarity, small production and great world demand makes its wines among the most sought after.
