WHO CAN CONTRACT
Bodegas Manzanos is the result of the work of five generations of the Fernández de Manzanos family, whose winemaking tradition dates back to 1890.
There are three wineries: Azagra and Haro, in the Rioja Denomination of Origin and Campanas, in the Navarra Denomination of Origin. In these the young team of the fifth generation of the family produces quality wines that are already acclaimed around the world. its quality is already determined by its origin: its own extensive vineyard that treats with the delicacy of those who appreciate the difference in the fruit of nature.
Elaboration:
The grape from the El Jubero vineyard is used, located near Ribafrecha, in Santa Engracia, at a height of between 600 and 700 meters. It is a Grenache grown in a vineyard of three hectares planted twice, the first plantation is 40 years old and the second 35 years. The history of this Rosé is anecdotal and is that it arose because the winemaker Borja Ripa appreciated the qualities of this special Grenache and wanted to achieve that expressiveness in a fine, structured red wine with the aromas that only this Grenache was capable of displaying.
Winemaking: It has been fermented in barrels for 3 months, to give it the structure and volume that it wanted without maderizar. It wanted to achieve a voluminous roundness but that the aroma did not have influence of the barrel, so that the aromatic splendor of the Grenache was maintained and that in the mouth it was not provided with the nuances of the oak.
The grape has been pressed and macerated with the pulp for 2 days, then it has been racked and fermented in a tank and divided the wine into two parts:
The first one has been in French oak for 2 to 3 months. The second part has continued in deposit.
The varieties are 90% Garnacha, and 10% Tempranillo Blanco.
