INFORMATION OF INTEREST Tianna Negre 2017
Colour: Clean, clear and bright. Intense red color with garnet reflections, where it has a medium - high layer intensity. Very nice to look at.
Aroma: Nose entry where the undisputed protagonists are black fruits (blackberries, blueberries, cherries, figs), and in which they are perfectly integrated with a catalog of spices that helps to give it the most balsamic touch, along with a contribution of toasted aromas and caramel fruit of its aging.
Taste: In the mouth it is presented without funnels. On the palate with good volume and a good glyceric sensation that develop mature and wide tannins that will lead you to a long and persistent finish.
A perfect wine to accompany with red meats, small game, stews, roasts, cured cheeses, sobrasada, etc.
Celler Tianna Negre is the project of the Morey-Garau family, and of the company Antonio Nadal, S.A. (Bodegas Túnel) that was born with the idea of building a winery to make its own wines. Initially, they made their first wine in a garage owned by a vine grower friend. It was in 2007 when they opened their own winery, equipped with the latest technologies, thus facilitating the care and care of the grape throughout the production process, while respecting the environment as much as possible.
The Morey-Garay family is originally from the municipality of Consell, a neighboring town of Binissalem, with a long wine-growing tradition, and it is here that their first vineyard with more than 35 years of age is located. Currently the winery has 35 hectares of vineyard spread throughout the Raiguer region. Vineyards planted in soils where the typical Call Vermell predominates, a calcareous soil with a clay texture, rich in iron that gives it its characteristic red color. The climate of the area is typically Mediterranean, with very hot summers and moderately cold winters.
Controlled fermentation, maceration for 38 days, with pumping over, punching down and delestages that give the wine structure and complexity. A part of the Black Mantle and Syrah ferments in 5000-liter French oak vats to give the blend more fruitiness and freshness. It came unfiltered.
