WHO CAN CONTRACT
Silice Finca Rosende 2016 is one of the three magnificent reds of Silica Viticultores, one of the most vigorous young wineries in the Ribeira Sacra. Despite being made and marketed, like the rest of its "brothers", apart from the D.O., we are dealing with a wine that perfectly expresses the essence of this land, marked by freshness, elegance and minerality. The incomparable origin of this red, a centennial vineyard recovered by the firm in a steep valley, and its artisanal production make it one of the best wines in this area of Galician production. Its production did not even reach 560 bottles.

Silice Viticultores avoids the use of herbicides and carries out its field work manually, with very limited productions that seek higher quality. After a meticulous selection work both in the vineyard and in the winery, the wines follow a completely artisanal elaboration that seeks to express the character of each plot, with minimal interference and avoiding processes that subtract potential from the wines: indigenous yeasts, aging in barrels of several years of use that do not provide excessive nuances of wood, without filtering, without corrections ... In short, very authentic and honest wines that demonstrate the veneration of the winery for this land and its vineyards.

This Galician red is a blend of grapes from the Mencía, Garnacha Tintorera and Palomino varieties, which come from a vineyard at Finca Rosende in the Cabe river area, over 100 years old and planted on granite and clay soils. The grapes are harvested manually, they are not destemmed, prefermentative maceration in open vats; Subsequent alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and malolactic in used French oak barrels. It then matures 12 months in used barrels. 559 bottles have been produced.
