TASTING NOTE
Colour

Intense ripe cherry colour. Between red and tile trim. High layer, clean and bright.

AROMA:

Complex, serious and elegant. Ripe and candied fruit, leather, balsamic (liquorice) and minerals. This conjoined with the aromas of oak aging (vanilla, toasted and roasted).

TASTE:

Powerful flavours. Burly in the mouth, balanced, broad and persistent but with not aggressive ripe tannins. Long, complex aftertaste sensations. Is harmonious, whole and friendly. Retronasal elegant with a fruity and spicy end.

MATCHING
The complexity of this wine does not recommend taking it with food strong at the taste. We could serve it with partridge stewed with nuts or with a stewed pig's feet.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
