TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean and bright Red color with lightly garnet reflections. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

Very direct and powerful entry. Explosion of red fruit with a lot of aromatic power and with a background where balsamic notes are manifested.

TASTE:

A lot of complexity and intensity. It is a rich and full-bodied wine, powerful but without being dominant with strong tannins that are masked under the great fruit. Structured, spicy, exuberant and very long with a lot of persistence.

WHO CAN CONTRACT
In 1902, mainly Armand Rousseau founded this domain by inheriting several plots of vineyards located in the city of Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy. Throughout the years, he bought classified plots Grand Cru in Clos de la Roche, Mazis Charmes or Chambertin. In 1954, he purchased the 1st cru Clos-Saint-Jacques on behalf of his son Charles. Now they are Eric, the son of Charles and the grandson of Armand who are at the head of the farm. The estate has been consolidated with its legendary wines such as Lavaux Saint Jacques or Chambertin as one of the icons of Burgundy. There is no doubt here, the most beautiful expressions of Pinot Noir. Made famous for the Ponsot estate, the Clos de la Roche is a great gathering of the commune of Morey-Saint-Denis. The Domaine Rousseau also gives us a crop after another one of the best interpretations. Winemaking is traditional, with a partial dismantling to 90%.
