Fine aroma with enough intensity. Its ageing provides slight vanilla scents and a background smell of coffee.
Pleasant and of moderate acidity. Enough consistency and essences. Good balance in tannins. Good aroma on the palate with slight flavours of the variety. After taste of medium persistence.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
