Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections. It has a medium-high layer intensity. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

On the nose is the personified elegance. Where we find in equal parts the power and the delicacy. Aromas of almost ripe red and black fruit, spicy touches and the unmistakable notes of a perfectly integrated wood, form a perfect fusion.

TASTE:

Entry in the mouth where it is a show. It is balanced, creamy, tasty and with sweet tannins that provide a sensational balance. Retro-nasal where the black and red fruit that appeared on the nose appears. Long, fresh, wide and persistent finish.

Cooked, civet, roasts, deer, wild boar, beef, red meat with sauce.

Quinta Sardonia's relationship with the DO Ribera del Duero is very close, despite not being under its protection for purely administrative and political reasons at the time of its constitution, since Sardón del Duero, where the winery's vineyards are located , It is located a few meters from the limit of this powerful denomination and is a town where historically there had always been vineyards. Advantage? Drawbacks? Their owners, as well as those of other prestigious wineries such as Abadía Retuerta or Mauro, could also answer this question, also outside this denomination; As for its wines, Quinta Sardonia and Quinta Sardonia QS2 have their own letters of introduction, full of virtues. The project was born in 1998 and produced its first harvest in 2002. During the years 1999 and 2000, they planted new vineyards with the varieties Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. The work, both in the vineyard and in the winery, is governed by biodynamic methods, in order to achieve a good balance between the soil, the climate, the vine and the environment.
