TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with ruby reflections, has good layer intensity. Very nice to see.

AROMA:

On the nose, it is a perfect representation of Central Otago's Pinot Noir. Elegance and power form the sensory blend, where they combine to provide rich aromas of red fruit (cherry and strawberry) on a spicy background of wild berries.

TASTE:

In the mouth it is the opulence of authenticity. Red fruit notes reappear with a spicy liquorice aftertaste. Pass through the mouth with silky tannins and very good muscular structure, thus providing an end of impressive persistence and length.

MATCHING
If there is never the option of pairing a wine with its own gastronomy of the country, don't miss it, here are some examples that go hand in hand with our Quartz Reef; Roasted Hogget (grilled lamb meat flavored with herbs, and accompanied by potato, pumpkin and vegetables, can go with a delicious mint sauce), Stew (either lamb or beef) with the garnish of vegetables, and of course , a typical New Zealand dish, the Whitebait Fritter, consists of a small fish omelette with eggs, tasty, tasty and very easy.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Quartz Reef was founded in 1996 with leading partners: Rudi Bauer, Trevor Scott and John Perriam. Quarts Reef vinifies wines with an outstanding flavor and intensity. There are currently 30 hectares of vineyards. The key to this distinction and excellence in wines is the vineyards, where they always reach the optimum ripening point, where they are located at the Bendigo Estate in Quartz Reef. In Rudi's custody, the Pinot Noir becomes the essence of Central Otago while the Gray Pinot adopts a rich textured style. With higher plant density and lower yield per vine, they allow for more intense flavor development and are rewarded with a richer, richer, more elegant expression of a single plot. Demeter Certificate (Biodynamic Agriculture) since 2011.
