The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.

Found Palvora by chance in the shop and what a surprise! The nose is very delicate but intense and opens onto red and dark berries with some lightly smoked aromas as well. On the palate, low alcohol, light and fine tanins with good grip nonetheless without being astingent. Medium to good length. Loved it!
