Colour: Deep red cherry in colour.
Aroma: Elegrant, fresh and complex nose that highlights ripe fruits and floral notes.
Taste: Nice and fresh on the palate, well-balanced with sweet but still young tannins, a delicious mouthful sensation that lingers on the very long and smooth finish.
Established in 2007, Bodegas Atalaya is a new project of the Orowine Group in the Almansa D.O.
It is located at the east of Albacete province among Valencia, Alicante and Murcia, in the transit zone between the Castillian Plateau and the Mediterranean sea.
The winery and the vineyards are placed 3k north of Almansa. The soil is basically limestone and the altitude is 2600 feet above sea level. Predominant grapes are Garnacha, Monastrell and Tintorera, autochtonous variety of the zone. On this grapes is where the new project is basing its wines.
Technical direction is provided by Fran Gonzales Spanish-born Australian winemaker.
