It has an intense ruby colour with hints of brick red around the rim.
It has complex and intense aromas, with hints of ripe fruit, spices and toasted flavours.
On the palate it is fruity, supple and intense, rounded and with a very long finish.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
