INFORMATION OF INTEREST Espelt Saulo 2018
Colour: Clean and bright Ruby red with blue highlights. High layer intensity. Very nice to look at.
Aroma: Entry on the nose, with notes of black fruit, on a slightly spicy background, where the characteristic notes of Mediterranean forest and caramel notes stand out.
Taste: In the mouth, it is very pleasant and velvety, where the aromas of red fruit and honey return, and where it stands out above all for its fantastic balance. It is a wine without edges, subtle and persistent, easy to drink and long aftertaste.
We can take it with poultry, as would a roast duck in orange sauce, or more original dishes such as peas with some Iberian ham.

An age marked by a low rainfall, well below the average of the last years that is located at 550 mm per year. The year has been hot especially during the summer months and with a cold winter, with only a few minimum temperatures in late February and early March. Spring with rains between March and June but without water in summer. The tramontana has manifested mainly in winter and in spring, in March, with strong gusts of wind. Start and end of the harvest the week of September 11.
