Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections, and where it has a medium layer intensity. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

On the nose, it is an explosion of red fruit and in which they manage to balance in equal parts with the notes of herbs and balsamic. A wine that speaks for itself, and where it perfectly expresses its origin.

TASTE:

Mouth where the simple is the undisputed seal. Good intensity, with an extraordinary freshness and where the fruit that was presented in the nose takes over again. Long and persistent finish.

We cultivate eight hectares of vineyards, three planted between 1953 and 1968. The vineyards, located between 90 and 100 m above sea level, within the DO Empordà. The climate is Mediterranean, the characteristic wind is the north wind, which blows all year round. The average annual rainfall is 450 ml. The terrain is granite (sauló), with a quartz slate in a punctual way. The plots are dry land. We do a lot of manual work: pruning, pruning, green pruning and monitoring the growth of the vines. We fertilize with organic fertilizer and sow grasses and legumes. As earth treatments, we use Bordeaux broth and powdered sulfur; year after year, we try to integrate them with natural and alternative treatments to fight pests. We make wines only with grapes from our vineyards, harvested manually and collected in boxes. We decide when to harvest and how to treat the vineyard must, without the help of any vineyard technicians or winemakers. We make each type of wine without any intervention during the fermentation and aging process. The must ferments spontaneously thanks to its own yeasts and we do not add oenological products at any point in the process. We work the vineyard with the aim of obtaining healthy and ripe grapes, an indispensable requirement to be able to make natural wines. Our wines do not contain added sulfites, are not subject to filtration or clarification or any kind of intervention or oenological correction. Elaboration Spontaneous fermentation with local yeasts in a stainless steel tank, with 20% whole grapes and temperature control. Stainless steel storage until bottling. No leaks, clarifications or the use of any other oenological product during production. No added sulfites.
