TASTING NOTE
Colour

Cherry red colour with violet trim. Intense and covered.

AROMA:

Intense, with black fruit aromas. Balsamic notes over a mineral background. As it opens, it grows in complexity and violet notes appear.

TASTE:

Structured, opulent, pleasant, with good fruity charge, ripe and sweet tannins, fresh, with reminds of licorice and dense but with good acidity. Long and persistent.

WHO CAN CONTRACT
Aunt Elisabeth Barbier's romantic imagination captured in her novel Las gente de Mogador the actions and contradictions, the loves and the heartbreak of an era in which our family of winegrowers traced their way through time and space.

And now, this family of centuries-old tradition has discovered, after more than fifteen years, a unique little corner in a wonderful context. A difficult place to imagine, where the vineyard lives a fairy tale. This place, called Priorato, is one of the oldest wine denominations. Its name reminds us of the Prior of the first Carthusian convent established in Catalonia in the 12th century.

The origins of this vineyard go back to the Roman era. It only includes 2,000 hectares under an exceptional microclimate, conditioned by the 1,200-meter mountains that surround it.

The vineyard of Clos Mogador is an immense slate amphitheater (licorella), bathed at its feet by the Siurana, a river rich in history and Moorish legends.

This exceptional painting thrills the visitor by being in the middle of a vineyard where different varieties of wine are located according to altitude, exposure, sensitivity to sun or dew. All these natural factors combine to fill each bottle of Clos Mogador with wealth and fantasy.

Garnacha, Syrah, Cabernet, Cariñena, are transmuted among the oak staves, under the careful attention of the winegrower René Barbier Jr., to emerge, red with emotion, at the optimum moment of his maturity. An artisan elaboration gives light to a few bottles full of love and generosity, prepared according to the best traditions of the great crus. Uncork Clos Mogador, take your time, wait and let yourself be transported.
