Colour

Intens red with high layer.

AROMA:

Complex, spectacular. Notes of blackberry, raspberry, vanilla with chocolate i tan background and a bit smoky.

TASTE:

Pleasant, structured, powerful and silky on the palate. Memories of candied fruit, spices and new oak (18 months aging in French oak barrels). Long and round final. Is one of the important wines of Pomerol.

MATCHING
Perfect with steak port wine, wild boar stew or beef with mushrooms. Ideal with all kinds of stews and grilled meats.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Trotanoy Château is located in Bordeaux wine region in the commune of Pomerol, department of Gironde. The estate consists of 18 hectares of vineyards of merlot and cabernet franc. The annual output is 25,000 bottles. Currently the winery belongs to Jean Pierre Moueix who formed the Society Etablissements Jean Pierre Moueix in 1937. Initially developed the business, from the fifties began buying important vineyards like Chateau Petrus.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
