Very dense colour, similar to violet / purple.

AROMA:

With just uncorking the bottle we’re able to witnessing an aromatic explosion of great diversity and complexity. We appreciate raspberries, blackberries, Cuban cigars, cedar, coffee, liquorice .., all mixed in surrounding aroma.

TASTE:

In his attack this wine is invading us with a sweet sensation, which will finance large as it progresses on the palate. The tannins are highly concentrated, high ripeness. At its end is extremely long.

This is one of the best vintages of this Chateau, great structure, allowing us to serve alongside the more demanding recipes, but here we recommend dishes made with beef.

The cellar of the La Mission Haut-Brion is an impressive exhibition of the most modern winemaking techniques. Built at the end of the twentieth century, based on a property purchased by Dillon (the family which also owns Haut-Brion), can only provide excellent results. The Mission has terroir similar to Haut-Brion, so they produce very concentrated fruit. Since firms are very close, it’s inevitable comparisons: if Haut-Brion wine is historically the largest, the Mission is not far below, and if in the best vintages doesn’t reach Haut-Brion, may even surpass in the most difficult ones.
